The Tamarind is our so-called preferred hotel and is highly recommended to all IWGO Conference participants. From this hotel only, we organize the daily shuttle service to the conference location at KEPHIS Headquarters.

On the day before the conference will start on the KEPHIS Conference Centre, we will organize a Welcome Reception in the Tamarind Tree Hotel.
Tamarind Tree Hotel is ideally located just 5kms to the southwest of Nairobi within the spacious and offers easy access to all parts of the city, its national park, as well as to the country’s many diverse attractions via the neighbouring Wilson Airport and Southern Bypass. The hotel is situated in convenient distance to the Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Service (KEPHIS) Conference Centre, however a shuttle service is required to reach the Conference Centre and the heavy traffic is very much impressive in Nairobi!
The block has been reserved for the period Saturday 29 April and departure Sunday 7 May 2023 so that you could profit from the conference price before and after the conference.
Tamarind Hotel arrange at a cost of USD 35 per car each way (charged by the hotel invoice). We can only recommend to book this service prior your arrival!!
